So, you've decided to write poetry...

Here is some Poetry 101 for you. Firstly, pick up a bigger vocabulary. Second, just because you make every word in the end rhyme does not mean it is "poetry". For your benefit and your entertainment, here is what I consider the bare minimum for poetry and what I consider, for a lack of a better word, GARBAGE.

So what is considered poetry, you might ask...
Word play, play around with metaphors, think about what the physical translates to the metaphysical. The meanings of our surroundings are subjective to our own perspectives and our own understandings of it. Live poetry, love poetry.
